After I stopped working on toolchain things for the Wii U last year, fling has sat unloved and unmaintained. I've taken it down to help prevent confusion by older instructions - devkitPro are now shipping fling's most popular packages in their own repositories.
As of , the following packages are available in devkitPro's repositories:
- wiiu-pkg-config (same name)
- wiiu-sdl2, wiiu-sdl2_gfx, wiiu-sdl2_image, wiiu-sdl2_mixer, wiiu-sdl2_ttf (same name)
- wut-linux, wut-linux-bin, wut-msys2, wut-osx (merged into two packages, wut and wut-tools)
The following packages are not available in devkitPro's repositories:
- wiiu-curl-headers
- wiiu-libdynamiclibs
- wiiu-libiosuhax
- wiiu-libromfs
- wiiu-libutils
If you want to use these libraries in your homebrew project, I suggest adding them as Git submodules, so you are not reliant on things the user may or may not have installed correctly.
If you need any of these packages to compile an existing project, Leseratte generously hosts an archive of wiiu-fling packages. Fling's packages are also archived on the Wayback Machine. All source code, build scripts, and even some build results are available in Fling's Git repository, available as public domain (where possible).
If you have questions, comments, or are running your own pacman repository, feel free to contact me. Thanks for your support.
